What You'll Need
What makes this activity perfect for every family is that it's easy to make and also easy to personalise! You can freely substitute different parts of the craft to make it more eco-friendly or even more festive.
For the Magic Reindeer Food, gather:

Cellophane bags (I used some left over bags in the house, but you can easily find bulk bags at your local dollar store or party stores)
- Substitute: Fabric bags for a more eco-friendly approach
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup sugar or rock salt
- Green food dye and Red food dye
- Our CoCreative Design Reindeer Food Tags
Optional:
- 1/4 cup shredded or desiccated coconut
- Edible glitter (available from cake decorating stores)
- TIP: Avoid craft glitter as it can be harmful to wildlife.
How To Make Magic Reindeer Food
- Add a drop or two of green food colouring to your sugar or rock salt. Add a drop or two of red food colouring to your coconut (if using).
2. Combine the rolled oats, green sugar/salt, and red coconut and mix.
- Spoon the mixture into your cellophane bags.
- Attach your wooden Reindeer Food Tags with string or ribbon and tie off each bag.
